Madam Speaker,

It is our honour to address this august House on the progress made in the application of National Values and Principles as required by Article 9 of the Constitution of Zambia.

Our administration has made significant strides since assuming office in August 2021. We have begun the process of restoring macroeconomic stability, rebuilding confidence with our creditors and international partners, and putting Zambia back on the path of sustainable economic growth.

We have taken bold steps to fight corruption, restore the rule of law, and protect the freedoms of all Zambians. We have invested in education, healthcare and social protection for the most vulnerable members of our society.

We are committed to upholding the values of patriotism, morality and ethics, human dignity, equity and equality, social justice, democracy and constitutionalism, unity in diversity, and sustainable development.

Madam Speaker, much work remains to be done. But we are confident that with the support of this House and all Zambians, we will deliver on our mandate.

God bless Zambia.
