Jointly launched and commissioned the Kazungula Bridge Authority with President Duma Boko of Botswana in Kasane, the body overseeing operations of the Kazungula Bridge, a strategic Zambia-Botswana transport and trade corridor linking both countries to the North-South Corridor and regional markets.

Attended the Multilateral Summit on the Lobito Trans-Africa Corridor in Benguela and Luanda. Met with US President Joe Biden, Angolan President Joao Lourenco, DRC President Felix Tshisekedi and Tanzanian Vice President Philip Mpango. Hichilema emphasised the vital importance of the 1,300-kilometre Lobito Corridor rail line linking copper-rich Zambia to the port of Lobito as a strategic economic corridor for the region.
